Public Works

The Public Works Department provides essential core services to the 11,000 residents of Fife in a prompt, professional, efficient, and safe manner.  Services include construction and maintenance of City streets and buildings, and sanitary sewer, drinking water and storm drainage infrastructure.  The dedicated employees of the Public Works Department strive to provide these services equitably to all neighborhoods and businesses in a manner that reflects our emphasis on quality customer service, environmental stewardship, fiscal responsibility, and transparency. Fountain Being Moved on Trailer

The Public Works Department consists of Engineering and Operations & Maintenance Divisions.  The Engineering Division is responsible for inspection and permitting of private development, planning, design and construction of capital improvements, compliance with the city's municipal stormwater permit, and maintaining standards for new construction and development. The Operations & Maintenance Division is responsible for:
