55 & Older Adult Programs
The health of our citizens is the highest priority for the City of Fife. In keeping with advice from health officials regarding public events, the City of Fife has suspended many senior activities and programs at the Fife Community Center and Fife Aquatic Center.
The program suspension will be continuously reevaluated and any continuation or changes will be communicated through the City of Fife’s website (cityoffife.org/covid19) and social media channels.
These precautions are a result of the ongoing COVID-19 health recommendations. The City of Fife is taking these precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our most vulnerable populations. City officials are in close contact with public health officials and are continually assessing the city’s procedures and guidelines. Here is more information on senior programming:
COMMUNITY CENTER
All senior programs are suspended, including Tai Chi; Painting Club; Social Bridge; ACL Bridge; Pinochle; Board Games After Lunch; Quilters Club
Some senior programming will resume September 9 at the Fife Community Center. Programs will be hosted under a tent outside and we will be following mask and social distancing guidelines. We will have masks available, but encourage you to bring your own if you have one.
The health and safety of staff and guests remain the highest priority of the Fife Community Center and will be evaluated throughout the month.
Programs are FREE thanks to funding from the CARES Act.
Please call 253-896-8654 for details about senior programs. We can’t wait to see you!
Senior lunches: In-person CCS Lunches are canceled, but CCS will provide to-go senior lunches for pick-up at Fife Community Center on Wednesdays and Fridays
AQUATIC CENTER
Please note: Locker rooms will remain closed. You can leave bags and towels on bleachers. Lobby restrooms are available to use. You may change in there, but we ask you to avoid congregating in the lobby.
The health and safety of staff and swimmers remain the highest priority of the Fife Aquatic Center and will be evaluated throughout the month.
