City Clerk
The City Clerk's Office provides a variety of services that support the City Council, City Departments, and the residents of Fife.
The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for:
- Preparing agendas and minutes for City Council meetings
- Managing the City’s official records including Ordinances, Resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Responding to Public Records Requests
- Maintaining contracts and agreements
- Codification of the Fife Municipal Code
- Publishing legal notices
- Recording of legal documents
- Serves as liaison to Pierce County concerning elections and voter registration
- Risk management
In addition, per Fife Municipal Code Chapter 2.20, the City Clerk is:
- The City’s designated Public Records Officer
- The designated License Officer
- Appointed to be the City’s recipient of tort claims
- Responsible for administering public bidding procedures
