Youth Levels

The focus of this program is to provide children, ages 6 to 17 years, with basic and advanced water safety and survival skills, including the 4 competitive strokes for potential swim team membership. We believe this is best achieved in a small group format with children of similar age and skill level, as this helps build their self-confidence, develops socialization skills and makes swimming fun.

Skills Learned

Participants will begin by learning breath control, floating and kicking. Once these introductory skills are mastered the following strokes will be introduced as they progress through our 10 youth levels:

  • Backstroke
  • Breaststroke
  • Butterfly
  • Elementary backstroke
  • Freestyle
  • Sidestroke

Upon completion of our program, swimmers will have the ability and skills to swim 300 yards freestyle, 100 yards backstroke and a 100 yard individual medley.
