A prominent historic fixture for City of Fife since 1914, the iconic “Fife Fountain” originally served as a watering station for horses, at its location within the heart of downtown at what is now the intersection of 54th and 20th streets. During the 1980’s , the fountain was moved to its current location in front of the Fife Swim Center
The City of Fife is now working to re-establish a welcoming city center, celebrating its heritage by encouraging pedestrian-friendly business, leisure, and recreational amenities. As an initial phase of a multi-phased master plan at the city’s south campus. The Fife Fountain Plaza project will relocate the fountain closer to its original location at the Fountain Memorial Park. Once relocated, the 100 year old monument will undergo restoration and retrofit for a new plumbing system. The project, on the corner of 54th and 20th, also includes a semi-circular retaining wall supporting a new city entry sign which includes lighting, plantings, and pathway modifications.
PROJECT COST:APPROX. $649,569.00
