Police Chief Pete Fisher
Pete Fisher became the Chief of Police for the City of Fife in March 2016, bringing with him more than 22 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to becoming the Chief, Pete was the Operations Lieutenant for the Bremerton Police Department. Earlier in his career, he was a Police Officer with the Metropolitan Park District Police Department of Tacoma. Additionally, Chief Fisher has specialized as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, EVOC Instructor and Collision Reconstructionist. A New Hampshire native, Pete served four years in the United States Air Force before moving to the Puget Sound. He began his law enforcement career as a Reserve Officer for the Town of Ruston in 1994.
Chief Fisher received his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds two Graduate Certificates; one in Organizational Development and one in Law Enforcement Education. Pete is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Command College, as well as Session 247 of the FBI National Academy, and Session 67 of the Senior Management Institute for Policing.

Assistant Chief David Woods
Assistant Chief Dave Woods started with the Fife Police Department in June of 1988. In his career with the Fife Police Department, Dave has worked Patrol, Traffic, Detectives, Patrol Sergeant, was assigned for two years at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, Investigations Supervisor and Patrol Commander.
Assistant Chief Woods has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Central Washington University, graduated from the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command, and is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Command College.
Assistant Chief Woods currently oversees the Administrative Division.

Captain Aaron Gardner
Captain Gardner started with the Fife Police Department in September of 2006. Prior to working for the Fife Police Department he worked for the City of Milton and the City of Lacey Police Departments. Captain Gardner has worked Patrol, Traffic, K-9, Field Training Officer and Patrol Sergeant prior to assuming his current duties in 2015.
Captain Gardner has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University, graduated from the Senior Management Institute for Police, is a graduate of Leadership in Police Organizations and is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Command College.
Captain Gardner currently oversees the Operations Division.
