Parks Appreciation & Arbor Day– View Photos
City staff and community volunteers will once again conduct our annual Parks Appreciation & Arbor Day event on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. Lunch provided to volunteers at 12 noon. The focus of our efforts last year were Colburn & Fountain Memorial Parks. This year’s focus is Five Acre Park. Please dress in work & weather appropriate clothing.
In 2016, for the annual Arbor Day portion of the event we planted two new trees along the 23rd Street E sidewalk south of city hall. Ultimately we hope to complete the row of street/sidewalk trees from the city hall parking lot entrance to the corner of 23rd Street & 54th Avenue.
Thank you to all our volunteers! This is a fun community event and we hope to see everyone there!
