It’s A Wonderful Life: Fife

Come one, come all to Funtown Northwest’s holiday food, charity and movie event! Meet Karolyn Grimes (ZuZu in “It’s a Wonderful Life”), enjoy a buffet dinner and watch the timeless classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” with your whole family. Karolyn will also give a speech and share personal stories about the movie. Santa and Karolyn will read “The Night Before Christmas”.  Donations will be accepted for Seattle Pug Rescue, NW Harvest and Toys for Tots.

Santa trades in his sleigh for a fire truck! Come celebrate the season with the Mayor and Santa as they use some holiday magic to light up the trees outside of City hall.

Breakfast with Santa (Ages 12 mos +)- View 2012 Photos!
Theme: Miracle on 54th Street. You are cordially invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet with Santa. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in holiday activities and visit with Santa about their Christmas wish list. Children must attend with one parent or responsible adult. Don’t forget to bring your cameras for a picture with Santa! Must pre-register. Breakfast will be served from 9:15-10:15 a.m.

Santa Run
The Fife Police Department and Fire Department, along with Santa Clause, will be running through Fife handing out holiday cheer in December. There will be three Santa Runs at three different locations:

  • Date: December 13, 14, and 20
  • Time: 10:00 a.m.
  • Location: Dec 13th from the railroad tracks South, Dec 14th from the railroad tracks to I5, Dec 20th everything North of I5 including Fife Heights

Nutcracker Ballet Performance
Entertain your family with the holiday tale, The Nutcracker. This classical ballet is full of enchantment where toy soldiers fight rat armies, snowflakes come dancing to life, and the sugarplum fairy presides over it all. Sweetheart Dance – (Ages 3-12)- View 2013 Photos Here!
The 4th Annual Fife Daddy-Daughter Fife’s 5th Annual Daddy-Daughter  Sweetheart Dance at The Fife Community  Center! This event is for girls and their  fathers or special adult in their life. Music  will be geared to both the girls and their  dads for some amazing dancing and  lifetime memories to be created. Tickets  must be purchased in advance by February  4th. Tickets at the door will be subject  to availability. Come enjoy great dance  music, fun games, cool crafts, and yummy  snacks and beverages!

Parks Appreciation & Arbor Day- View Photos
This event is held in parks throughout Pierce County. We’ll trim limbs, groom grounds, and plant more flowers and trees. Join Parks Appreciation Day and come to Fountain Park between 9 a.m. and noon. We’re celebrating Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Parks Week and your local parks in one fun event. You will leave feeling good about being a part of a major countywide effort with nearly 2,000 other people working in their local parks at the same time. Call 253-606-8877.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Mom & Daughter Princess Party (Ages 3-12)
Moms and Daughters, it’s time to get  all dolled up as your favorite Princess!! There will be dancing, singing, music and  a fun project to take home! Juice and  scrumptious snacks are provided. Space  is limited and PRE-REGISTRATION IS  REQUIRED.

Fife Farmer’s Market
The City of Fife is pleased to announce the  creation of the Fife Farmers Market. The  purpose of the Market is to create a sense  of community and celebrate our unique  community assets, while providing healthy  options to our citizens. The Fife Farmers  Market will begin on Sunday, June 29th  and continue every Sunday, with the last  market on August 31st. It will be located  at Fountain Memorial park and adjoining  Swim Center parking lot and will feature  fresh food, arts and crafts, prepared food, and so much more. The Farmers Market   will be weekly on Sundays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Hershey Track & Field Meet
The Hershey Track Program is for ages  9-14 (as of Dec. 31, 2014). Participants  compete in age groups according to the  year born. All participants must bring  a copy of their Birth Certificate to the  district meet. Participants can only  attend one district meet. 1st and 2nd  place finishers will advance to the State  Meet*. There is no charge to participate  in a Hershey District meet. NO SPIKES OR BLOCKS ALLOWED. Events include  the 50m-1600m, softball throw, and  standing long jump. Sat, Oct 31, 2015 – Halloween Carnival

Boo! The Fife Police Department is pleased to announce its annual Halloween Carnival at Columbia Junior High School. The event will have numerous different games for the kids, treats and best of all, prizes! Kids will get a Halloween goodie bag fill with candy and receive a pumpkin flashlight. The event will be held on Friday, October 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The cost to attend is one nonperishable food item to support our local food bank!
