The Fife Community Center and Fife Aquatic Center are a Silver Sneakers site. This program gives adults 65+ on Medicare with the following supplemental health plans: AARP Medicare Complete by United Healthcare, Asuris NW Health, Group Health, Health Alliance Medicare, Humana, Premera Blue Cross, Providence Health Plan, Regence Blue Shield of Washington and Soundpath Health, access to the following classes at the Community Center for no cost.
Silver Sneakers Classic
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

SHIBA, (Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisors), is a free and unbiased Medicare counseling service provided by the WA State Office of Insurance Commissioner. SHIBA volunteer counselors can help you navigate the Medicare system, make informed decisions, know your rights and assist you in spotting fraud attempts. Monthly, in person, SHIBA counseling is available at the Fife Community Center! Join SHIBA counselor, Jayne on the 3rd Wednesday monthly! Jayne will give a short Medicare educational talk @ 11:00 a.m. and then will be available for one on one assistance from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Come ready with your Medicare questions. The Northwest Flower and Garden Show has been heralding the start of spring since 1989, as gardening enthusiasts from around the Northwest flock to this annual celebration held in the beautiful Washington State Convention Center for five magical days. There’s aisle after aisle of fresh garden gear, outstanding services, and delicious artisan foods, including a plant market, tasting corner, and Vintage Garden Market. There is even a Resource Center to help you connect with fellow gardeners who share your interests and a free package check service for you to stash your purchases while you continue to enjoy the show. Lunch on your own.
