Free Summer Playground Program

This program will offer lunch and an afternoon snack made possible by USDA and Metro Parks Tacoma. This free drop-in program provides the opportunity for kids to get creative with arts and crafts, play lots of games and sports, and visit with friends. This program is not to be used to substitute Child-Care or Day-Care services! Adult recreation staff will supervise the kids during activities but is NOT responsible for keeping track of children at the program or park site for the duration of the day; kids can come and go as they please. It is solely the responsibility of the parents, legal guardians and day-care providers to supervise their children to ensure their safety.

Camp Fife

Provide your child with fun and safe activities in a supervised setting. Campers will enjoy field trips, games and art projects. Each week your child will go on one extra field trip a week to either Titlow Park or another local park for environmental education and fun experiences in the outdoors! All your child needs to bring is a sack lunch, water, snacks, sunscreen, bathing suit/towel, and a smile!  We’ll take care of the rest. Don’t miss the fun!

SUMMER OFFICIALLY HAS BEGUN! Come spend it at Camp Fife as we kick off another awesome summer! Truly, anything goes this week! Be prepared to be surprised and to blast right into fun!

Galaxy Quest
Tacoma Nature & Science Center
What lies beyond our atmosphere in the darkness of the night sky? Planets, stars, aliens. Come join us on a quest to learn about our galaxy. We’ll discover what elements make up our beautiful earth with a trip to Tacoma Nature Center on Tuesday. Followed by a cosmic exploration at Pierce College’s Science Dome on Thursday. Blast off!

Life of a Pioneer
Pioneer Farm
Happy 4th of July! Let’s go back in time and learn about foragers of the great Northwest, Pioneers! On Thursday we will be real pioneers at the Pioneer Farm.

Nautical Sea Adventures
Titlow Park & Stewart Heights Pool
Come explore the high seas with us! Discover sea creatures, learn how to navigate boats and hunt for buried treasure. Campers will enjoy a trip to Stewart Heights on Thursday to splash about or float the lazy river. Land Ho!

Summer SPLASH!
Wapato Park & Water Madness @ Camp
Let’s cool off with a crazy, fun water balloon filled week. We will splish and splash at Wapato Park on Tuesday. As we slip n’ slide through the week, Thursday will not be a day to miss as campers experience the Ultimate Water Wetventure!!

Lights! Camera! Action!
Titlow Park & Fife Productions
Jump on stage this week and enjoy acting out some of our favorite stories. This week we will be learning lines and performing a play. We will learn about nature’s actors at Titlow Park. Friday campers will perform plays for the whole camp to enjoy! End scene.

Caveman Crazy!
Point Defiance Park & Federal Way CC
Get ready for a wild and crazy week as we embrace our inner caveman. We’ll learn what it takes to survive in the wild while we explore Point Defiance Park on Tuesday. Using those skills we can dive in and climb high at the Federal Way Community Center on Thursday!

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Titlow Park & Rainier’s Game
Campers will enjoy playing different team sports this week! Learning about sportsmanship while competing in basketball, relays, soccer and much more. Join us to watch teamwork in action as we watch the Tacoma Rainier’s and enjoy a delicious hot dog lunch! Thursday we’ll learn how the eco-system works together like a team to survive. All hands in!

Forest Explores
McKinley Park & Franklin Falls
This week we’ll trek through the forest! The Pacific Northwest is home to a beautiful landscape full of trees, rivers and waterfalls. Let’s explore our own backyard with a trip to McKinley Park on Tuesday. This will prepare us for Thursday’s hike up to Franklin Falls. Don’t forget your walking stick!

Creepy Crawly!
Titlow Park & Gene Coulon Beach Park
Learn about the creepy crawlers of the Northwest. We will start by bug hunting at Titlow Park on Tuesday. On Thursday we’ll slither up to Gene Coulon Park in Renton to get up close to the environment and learn about how they live. Bug out!!

Summer Finale Bash
Chamber’s Bay & Dash Point State Park
Let’s rewind summer and revisit everything campers voted two thumbs up. On Tuesday we will enjoy a beautiful view and hike at Chamber’s Bay. Join us for our end of summer blow out with a Beach Barbecue at Dash Point on Thursday. Camp Fife Forever!!

Basketball Camp (Ages 7–15)

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate athletes. An active week of passing, shooting, dribbling and rebounding.

Mini-Hawk Camp (Ages 4–6)
This multi-sport camp is tailored to your child’s age and skill level while teaching life lessons such as respect and te amwork.

Flag Football Camp (Ages 7–12)
Youth learn skills on both sides of the football, including the core components of passing, catching and defense.

Volleyball Camp (Ages 8-12)
All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercies that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. Program is for beginner and intermediate.

Cheerleading Camp (Ages 7–10)
Skyhawks Cheerleading teaches the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team! Each cheerleader learns proper hand & body movements and jumping techniques. The week concludes with a choreographed performance.

Kidz Love Soccer Camp
Since 1979, Kidz Love Soccer has been dedicated to teaching children the world’s most popular sport within a nurturing, recreational environment. A typical session experience includes age appropriate activities: skill demonstrations, fun games, and instructional scrimmages. Specialty Camps

Counselors In Training (C.I.T.)
(Ages 14-16)    
Do you want to gain work experience, and have fun doing it?  Join the Counselors In Training (C.I.T.) program and gain hands on experience, valuable career skills, complete a resume, and opportunities for leaning and leadership skills. Once the week is complete, all C.I.T.’s will have a mock interview and if they show growth and responsibility throughout the week, they will be invited to volunteer for the duration of the summer.

Groovin at Mickey’s Club House  
(Ages 3-5)  
Learn how to move and grove though different forms of dance. This camp will include a full-length ballet, tap and creative movement class, themed craft and game time. Each dancer will receive a small costume piece and will take home their craft projects on the last day of class. There will be a performance on the last day, friends and families are welcome!
